Steve Duncan is an award winning Spoken Word artist, inspirational speaker and playwright. He has performed at Festivals, Carnivals, Prisons, Schools and other educational facilities.
Steve will be talking about his experience of addiction, suffering and recovery and will be performing some of his poetry. He uses honest and hard hitting verse to challenge perceptions around inequality, social injustice addiction and what it means to be human. A rising star on the spoken word and poetry scene, he describes his work as language of the Heart.
He is a multi slam winning poet whose work has been commissioned by the BBC, the Probation Services, the NHS and various other agencies. He is the co-founder of a Criminal Justice communications company that seeks to help both professionals and ex-offenders engage more effectively in the rehabilitation process.
