Dr Matthew Tranter is the Medical Director of NalPlan Clinic, a Forensic Medical Examiner for Gloucestershire Constabulary, and Lecturer in Medicine for the University of Oxford. He holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Oxford and PhD in Pharmacology from Imperial College London. He is experienced in dealing with drug addiction and withdrawal in both secure and hospital settings, and continues to publish in the field of Pharmacology. 

Matthew’s  presentation will explain everything you need to know about alcohol withdrawal. This is a very  misunderstood subject, but he will present the facts and provide clear guidance on how to support anyone going through this potentially life threatening experience
